From the first bond to the final repair, WEST SYSTEM epoxy brings a complete approach to marine construction, maintenance and restoration.
Resins, hardeners, repair kits and the materials that complete the job. Explore Marathon’s WEST SYSTEM range for your chandlery, workshop or next marine repair.
Start with 105 Epoxy Resin. Pair it with a hardener for the conditions and working time. Then add the filler or reinforcement your application needs.
The result is a system you can tailor for coating, bonding, laminating and fairing, with dedicated epoxies and kits for more specific repairs.

105 for versatile coating and bonding, or a speciality epoxy for a particular repair.
Work to the temperature, cure profile and specified resin-to-hardener ratio.
Add the right fillers, fabric, metering pumps and application tools.
Four starting points. Explore the products behind each one, then check the complete specification for your project.

Use the 105 system for coating and laminating, with a hardener suited to the job and the reinforcement required by the repair specification.

Choose a thickened 105 mixture for gap filling and fillets, or Six10 when controlled cartridge dispensing suits the application. Select the filler for the required bond.

Use a fairing filler to create an epoxy mixture that can be shaped and sanded. Fairing and structural bonding need different filler properties.

Fibreglass damage, dissimilar materials and weakened timber call for different solutions. Start with the material and condition, then choose the relevant kit or epoxy.
Suggested starting points, not a repair specification. Check the substrate, preparation, reinforcement and cure requirements before ordering.

105 is a low-viscosity resin for wetting out and bonding wood fibre, glass fibre and other reinforcement. Your hardener choice sets the working and curing profile.
Marathon offers 105 resin in 1kg and 5kg sizes, 205 and 206 hardeners, matched A and B packs, plus 207 and 209 A-size hardeners.

View 205 AFor more working time, including general coating and bonding in warmer conditions.
View 206 AFor clear coating and glass cloth applications where appearance matters.
View 207 AFor the longest working time of these 105 hardeners in suitable warm conditions.
View 209 A1kg 105 resin + 0.2kg 205 or 206 hardener.
5kg 105 resin + 1kg 205 or 206 hardener.
105/205 and 105/206 use 5:1 resin to hardener by weight or volume. The 207/209 combinations use a different ratio: follow their label and use the correct metering system. Never adjust the mix ratio to change cure speed. Clear epoxy still needs a suitable UV-protective finish for sunlight exposure.
TARGETED TIMBER RESTORATIONA dedicated, solvent-free epoxy that penetrates damaged timber and consolidates weakened wood fibres. Its formulation accommodates natural wood movement, and compatible fillers can be used where the repair needs a thicker mixture.
Choose from Marathon’s 360ml, 1.5L and 6L kits. Establish the extent of the damage and follow the manufacturer’s preparation and repair instructions.

G/FLEX® / TOUGHENED EPOXYG/flex is tougher and more flexible than a conventional rigid epoxy, while remaining much stiffer than an adhesive sealant. It is designed for bonds that experience expansion, contraction, shock and vibration.
Choose 650 liquid for versatile bonding and fabric wet-out, or 655 thickened adhesive where a non-sag mixture is useful. Prepare each material using the relevant instructions.
SIX10® / THICKENED ADHESIVESix10 combines a gap-filling structural epoxy with a self-metering cartridge and static mixer. Apply a controlled bead for suitable bonding, filling and filleting work.
The cartridge fits a standard caulking gun. Complete the setup with the required dispensing gun and replacement static mixers from Marathon.
Adhesive fillers and fairing fillers do different jobs. Choose for bond strength, gap filling, handling or sanding, then add to resin and hardener that have already been correctly mixed.

Application summaries are starting points. Use the manufacturer’s guide to select filler type and amount; a fairing mixture is not a substitute for a specified structural bond.

Make resin, reinforcement and application tools part of the same order. Marathon’s range extends from the first measured mix to the final wet-out and repair.
Match the pumps to the hardener ratio and pack size. With the correct calibrated pair, one full stroke of each pump delivers the specified ratio.
Choose fabric weight, construction and width for the repair schedule. Explore plain-weave glass tape, cloth, biaxial materials and peel ply.
Build a practical kit with mixing pots, reusable sticks, brushes and spreaders. Include appropriate protective equipment and follow the product safety data.
Use WEST SYSTEM’s own guidance to plan preparation, mixing, application and cure.
105 resin with the selected hardener is a versatile starting point for coating, laminating and bonding. G/flex, Six10 and Wood Rot Repair are dedicated alternatives for particular applications. Use the job selector above, then check the manufacturer’s instructions for the material and repair.
No. Use the specified ratio. Select the appropriate hardener and working conditions instead. Mixing temperature, batch size and film thickness affect cure, and mixed epoxy generates heat.
207 is the clear-coating hardener in the 105 system. For sunlight exposure, use a suitable UV-protective coating over the prepared epoxy. Check the finishing instructions and coating compatibility.
No. G/5 is for quick fixtures, low-loading repairs and general bonding. WEST SYSTEM does not recommend it for long-term bonds exposed to high loads or prolonged moisture. View the 25ml G/5 pack
