TruDesign's Load Bearing Collars works as follows - with the collar in place, the Skin Fitting-Ball Valve-Hose Tail assembly will be able to withstand a 500Ib (227kg) static force applied to the Hose Tail end of the assembly for a minimum of 30 seconds - complying with North American ABYC H-27 standards. This range is designed for use with TruDesign's Skin Fittings and Ball Valves.

TruDesign's 1 1/4", 1 1/2" and 2" Skin Fittings meet the requirements of H-27 500Ib standard (i.e. without a Large Collar installed). Adding a Large Collar to assemblies of this size increases the overall strength and protects the vulnerable exposed section of the thread on the Skin Fitting.

• No additional bolts or fasteners through or on the hull
• Ability to retrofit to existing TruDesign assemblies
• Fool-proof assembly - if not snug when tightened, the Skin Fitting's length will need shortening
• Certified - TruDesign's Skin Fittings and Ball Valves meet the American ABYC H-27 500Ib static load test; Seacocks, Thru-Hull Fittings, and Drain Plugs are independently verified by IMANNA Laboratory Inc. In addition, 1" Thru-Hull, Ball Valve and Tail assembly complies with ABYC 500Ib load test, only when used with the TruDesign ABYC Collar, however, 1/2" and 3/4" do not comply with the ABYC load test standard
