Designed and made in New Zealand, TruDesign's Scoop Strainers are designed to divert large objects away from water intakes whilst the vessel is moving - this helps to eliminate problems with seaweed/seagrass, sticks, or rubbish being sucked into engine intakes and blocking or clogging intake filters. This product range not only eliminates the corrosion and electrical bonding problems associated with metallic fittings, but they also act as a course first stage filter, which is cleaned by water movement. They can be painted over with antifoul, and can be faired into the hull without any concerns of corrosion.
