This layer sits over suitable existing antifouling and beneath Silic One Tiecoat. It is not a bare-surface primer or a finished hull coating.
Plan the application
Prepare and mix
Wet abrade, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry as directed. Mix base 45445 with curing agent 95441 at 3:1 by volume.
Keep the system moving
Apply one full coat without thinning. Follow the current specification for the interval to Silic One Tiecoat and then the Silic One finish.
Use the current product data, safety data and substrate-specific application instructions supplied by Hempel. Temperature, humidity and film thickness affect the working and overcoating schedule.

Before you order
Do I have to strip all the old antifouling?
A sound, compatible coating can use the conversion route. Loose or poorly adhered material must still be removed. Inspect and verify suitability before committing to the system.
Can I use it on bare gelcoat or metal?
It is not specified for direct application to an uncoated surface. Follow the relevant Hempel primer route for the substrate.
Does it replace Silic One Tiecoat?
No. The Silic One conversion route uses this primer, then Silic One Tiecoat, then the Silic One finish.
